Deborah Chicheportiche

With over 17 years of experience teaching French, including 12 years as Head of the MFL department at ACS International School (London), I bring a strong track record in both classroom and online instruction.

In my most recent role at The British International School Cairo (BISC), I taught French at KS3, KS4, and KS5, effectively preparing students for IB French B and iGCSE examinations. My IB students have consistently achieved top results (average IB score: 6-7; average IGCSE score;8-9), both at BISC and ACS International School.

As a UK Qualified Teacher (QTS/PGDE) with a Master’s in French as a Foreign Language, a Bachelor’s in English, and an IB Language B certification (category 2), I have developed and delivered engaging, effective instruction both in the classroom and online.

Beyond classroom teaching, I have extensive experience in remote learning. Having successfully adapted my teaching during the Covid pandemic, I have since continued providing online IB French tutoring and remote instruction using platforms like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet. I integrate Google Workspace, Languagenut, and Kognity to create interactive, student-driven learning environments, ensuring all students receive personalised, high-quality instruction that meets diverse learning needs.

I am particularly drawn to providing flexible, high-quality education and would love the opportunity to contribute my expertise in online language instruction. I thrive in innovative, student-focused learning environments, and I am eager to help students achieve their language goals and thrive in a globalised world.
